I asked for thatFinally got splay surfaced today
Moved some of the big rocks we’d left in the weeds you 7.5 ton boys would struggle with them. Made the 16 ton nod.

Terrible jobsworth!I did, highways inspector turned up said other highways guy was a fecking idiot and only got the job because his wife’s brother was the big boss. I told him I’d spent an hour trying to talk him rd but wouldn’t have it. He said he’s an idiot do it the way you wanted I’ll pass it.
Idiot guy had insisted on this stupid kerb across footway because it was on drawing I cut it out after speaking to the old experienced Clark of works
looks a tidy job Boyo ...Bit of a touch up on the machines- you know what bobcat paint is like if you leave it…Not my forte and a job I hate but it’s only a digger at the end of the day.
On the plus side- amazingly little wear in the pins given all the grab work we do. I put a large amount of that down to the super sticky black grease that we use from LRT lubricants. View attachment 39214
Nah, just rattle cans. The local auto factors own brand 'gloss white' is the best match I've found, and that's including Bobcat's own brand! Nasty round nozzle and I can't find any fan nozzles to fit but hey ho. It's just a digger!looks a tidy job Boyo ...
HVLP pot? ...
never been my forte either ...
alright with the airless, but that was never a finish coat, just HBZP primer, or bitumen on boat bottoms ....
did spray one of the lad's cars for him once and turned out OK.
's a practiced art
I presume it's lashing down at your end of the world ... much like here![]()
Lack of prep and lack of layers as well as nasties taken out of paints is why the modern isn't as good.Nah, just rattle cans. I did it once before but it didn't hold too well in a couple of places. So this time I'm giving this primer a go- sounds like it's deisgned for the job. Done the white and just ordering the grey.
You wouldn't believe how far back the rust travels under the paint after a knock. My Benford dumper from late nineties is still perfect paint wise- where it's scratched it rusts but doesn't travel. Why is modern paint so s**t?
I was led to believe that an etch primer is only really for super smooth, machined parts. These are just rubbed back to bare metal with a stripping pad on a 90 degree grinder so still a fair key there.Lack of prep and lack of layers as well as nasties taken out of paints is why the modern isn't as good.
Do you use an etch primer @doobin
Epoxy is supposed to be able to do the job by itself but personally any bare metal gets a coat of etch. BIL used that epoxy but out of a spray gun on my pickup bed when we repaired it but we etch primed first.I was led to believe that an etch primer is only really for super smooth, machined parts. We'll see how this expoxy primer does.
