In isolation it looks daft but...waters actually quite shallow, this is a proven method, for pontoons people would have to access lagoon, big no no,even sitting where I am,life jacket,no seat belt,if something happened first question,is there another method,'yeah but it costs a bit more',wouldn't work, need to get rid of silt so rest of site can keep working,n new cell dig can carry on,same as last landfill I was on,two week hire, lasted five months,EA,were all over them,me keeping water level down, after they had flood previous year, allowed them to keep working, taking waste from all over country,n get extension,so compared to revenue being generated, long reach weekly cost is minimal?I'm guessing that a few floating pontoons never occured to them![]()

I couldn't believe it, for a machine that weighs less than two tonnes. The back wheels only started to lift when I boomed out to get it onto the far side of the trailer too, just slid it across on the bearers. That's impressive! Few kg there . Stick the dims into woodweb![]()
Last time I heard im sure European oak was around 4.5k per m3. Probably more nowI couldn't believe it, for a machine that weighs less than two tonnes. The back wheels only started to lift when I boomed out to get it onto the far side of the trailer too, just slid it across on the bearers.
This is all wood that was going to be ringed up for the firewood pile otherwise- criminal. All dead straight trees. I asked the customer if I could have it in return for grinding out the stumps, the tree gang were happy enough as they were done in a day (impressive setup, 12" Bandit and a TB225 loading, six guys) My loader was bigger than theirs though
Even after grinding and hauling, probably worth doing. No idea how much oak sawlogs are.
