Never really do much interesting work..or at least stuff you lot might find interesting but we’ve been in prison the past three days! Digging out old concrete in a prison workshop. Main contractor doing the work very easy to deal with and straightforward but f**k me it’s s horrible place to be and s complete nightmare to be getting in and out, 15mins each time. No phones or food allowed in, only clear sealed bottles of water.
Appreciate the work people do in those sorts of facilities, I’m having a bad day if my phone battery dies or mrs miggins decides on porcelain when we’re 20m into sandstone. Imagine the crap that lot have to put up with 40hrs a week.

have spent time in Caeeerdiff nick with a TMS 180 Grove, many years ago, which popped a luffing cylinder cap, just as I was wrapping up on final day .. took some sorting .. would've been a lot easier on the other side of the walls ... had a guard/PO with me all day watching the machine's lower cab, tool/chain box, etc.

I looked at some work in Long Larton high security prison - horrible place. The job never happened but would have been a nightmare. The security check just to get inside to have a look was bonkers, they told us that if we got the job we would have to empty everything out of the vans and only load items essential for the job, and this would be gone through every time we entered/exited.
There were wires strung up overhead everywhere outside with what looked like lobster pot floats hanging off them at random. They are there to stop helicopters landing to break prisoners out apparently!

I would think drones are problematic also

Not my job but 77 year old dad with a few broken ribs has been rebuilding the engine in the tb180fr what a lemon she has been for us.

Was over heating, apparently passing exhaust into water jacket.

Head skimmed, new gasket kit and 4 new injectors at £650!

Left him putting it back together
