My dad use to swear by his Morris van back in the day when he ran his landscaping business in the 70s. Rear wheel drive could carry a surprising amount of weight. Would go to pick up stone in it for crazy paving which was all the rage back then apparently.

Many farmers tell fond stories of them from before landrovers where common. A lot of Micky tacking about pickups with mud tyres getting no further to feed the cattle than a minor van

Basic but the brakes were awful. Have had many a brown trouser moment in the one I had. I was very pleased to see it leave
I heard a few years ago that the lhd version of the c15 is alot nicer to drive than the rhd ones. I've since seen a video on YouTube and that concluded the same too

Interesting...there is a bloke not too far away deals in used Berlingos, (just Berlingos) gets them all from Belgium,an old one might just be the cheap simple reliable thing we want, tired of the never-ending spend.
Had one once hateful thing. Must have had something wrong with it, it was slow as a slug and drank fuel.

I've a Corsa van with the 1.3ctdi in it. It's been fautless from 70k to 130k, and a realistic 60mpg. Might be worth a look at a Combo van with that engine if you want similar load space to a Berlingo.

When I started my house Reno, a mate gave me this. 1.9 non-turbo diesel. I spent bugger all on it apart from replacing a rusty wing. Could leave it anywhere without worrying. Obviously wouldn’t want one for everyday work but as a runaround/running to merchants and tip it was perfect.
