I can live with a bit of dust! Much more preferable to the opposite, which is pissing with rain and an impossible job!apart from the bloody dust

Almost added equine undertaker to my resume today...neighbours asked if I could bury their horse bottom of the field as it died suddenly yesterday and in this heat it's gonna be mush soon. Got the digger out first time this summer and it's power is dying every 30 seconds..ffs! Thought I'd start with fuel, popped the hose pipe off at the water separator on the tank side...nothing coming out...blew air up it with the compressor then suddenly starts pissing out. The dead horse is a good quarter of a mile away over fields and I can't trailer the 803 and neither can the neighbour so I'll be trundling. Decide I better make sure the tanks clear of muck in case it happens again away from the tools..took the tank off and started to empty it with a suction hose and that got blocked wtf ..pulled the hose out of the tank and stuck on the end of it looked like a giant black slug, bloody diesel bug, tanks full of it. Phoned neighbours and told them I'd be an hour or so as needed to power wash this tank and do it properly but they said some other farmer could help them instead. Saves me a job but just typical, 3 years of hassle free ownership and the minute you need it you cant use it!

What is it you screen
what’s the job James? Is that stuff you’ve dug out on jobs and screening for top soil or quarry on your land etc or something for your gator spreader? Impressive bit of kit

It’s lime sludge, we’ve dried and are now screening to ensure it’s as clean as we can get it. Often pick up some debris when digging it out of lagoons, so essential that we go through it, and it really helps the final drying. And yes, I then spread it on fields after harvest, which has started here already! So it won’t be long before some of this is on a wagon and heading to a field. Been lucky with this recent spell of weather as this spring has not been the best for drying the lime. It’s now turned into a lovely drop of stuff that should spread nicely
, unless Mother Nature decides to kick us in the bollox….

Pretty sure I know that 370 from previous firm that went bust,low hours had easy life was already rigged for piling

knocked down a badly matched extension with my cheese grab, dig and pour founds tomrrow, and start the rebuild. Wall behind the grab is getting knocked through into the old barn to open everything up, the bricks will be used to rebuild the extension with so it all matches nicely

The Kinshofer grab on my 11 tonne Haulotte has pushed down trees, handled 3 tonne plus long logs, physically torn out concrete slabs no problems. Lost a bit of paint but still shuts perfectly, not a tweak on any part. Must be good German steel and not Swedish cheese
