I would agree with that ....
Vicki had her car written off by some pr*ck running up her arse on a DC in 2020 (she was doing 50 and he ploughed into her rear off side corner and pushed her off the road, in broad daylight) Clara was in her seat in the back in that corner

even though I had it completely to bits and inspected it - it took some sort of shunt, saved any injury to Clara -- really wouldn't trust it again - bought her a new one the next day.
That's a fair impact. Lucky all were ok. On a side note I love a Skoda Roomster- brilliant little cars

considering she was doing 50 - yeh ... she was gutted .. was a brilliant little car and immaculate with it ... had a massive argument with plod as they wouldn't do him for 'due care' and had been at the wheel for over 4 hours ... he must've been bloody going (and/or asleep)

Sofas and mattresses are like car seats to me- I'd rather new so I know their history. Don't really want to buy a used sofa that someone's potentially died on or had any involvement with a swingers party!

You sleep in hotel or b and b beds presumably??
This sofa came from a retirement flat where the lady only ever sits in her electric armchair, it was far to big for the flat and her mobility was deteriorating so it was getting in the way of her walker.
The previous sofa came from someone's spare living room. Never been sat in. They hadn't been in the room since it was decorated 2 years previously but had decided they wanted to change the decor and the sofa didn't suit. I only buy new clothes as I am tall and it's really difficult to find second hand clothes that are long enough.
I hate the waste of buying new. And also the price. And apart from anything else for a 2 grand saving if it came with a dead body on it I would embalm it for them myself.

used to know a guy who was manager of a sofa production place down the valleys ... average production costs were 2-300 quid max

I’m sat on 24 year old g plan leather sofa (had cushion re stuffed few years ago) was expensive new but firm supplied wrong size to my folks so got this one cheap. It’s a 2.5 seater but 4 and 3 were ordered.

We’ll be getting some new ones once downstairs renovation has been finished this summer but got very fond memories on this sofa, like 9 sets of separate fond memories lol 😂 might try keep it in man cave garden room

My cousin married a bloke had had a reputation for making fond memories in a lot of places with a lot of women. She made him throw out every piece of furniture, and have new work surfaces, before she would officially move in with him.
