It’s what I do!
If you climb underneath you will be able to follow a supply oil hose from the tank to the pump on the side of the engine (rear right hand side, looking from the rear) if you put a bowl under this hose and remove it from the pump, there should be lots of oil, there is a suction filter in the tank on the other end of this supply, if the filter is blocked oil will run out slowly.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
The pump on the side that you say runs steering and lift is hard to get to and see I’m not sure what pipe I need to take of to see if I’ve got pressure I might have to do one at a time and then start the engine each time to see which hose is pumping out of oil . I must say that even the forward and reverse will only drive when it’s warm thanks bob
sounds like a blocked pick up strainer 'praps ain't helping the cause

Something is blocked up somewhere, due to running without a filter? Won’t be much but a little fragment that the filter was keeping back by being in place? A case of pulling all the valves and solenoids and anything else you can think of out and giving them a clean up? *im no engineer!!

Hi I’ve taken the hose from the tank o the side pump some oil did come out but didn’t flow fast . Then I put the pipe back on and I loosened the pipe from the pump to the tip and steering and started the engine some oil came out but not under pressure. Would you say it’s the pump gone or pipe in tank blockage on the suction filter thanks bob

Yeah, it should run out rapidly. To the point you'd be rushing to refit it for fear of emptying the tank.... Sounds like you have an inlet restriction?

Check the tank filter first it’s a gauze filter(cleanable) but you would have to drain the tank to do this, this is the cheaper option before going for a pump! Maybe replace the oil while you are there👍
