You can ‘up spec’ a Construction mode, but can’t quite get it to Ag spec. But that would be on a new build, I think the op is looking at secondhand, if that’s the case then high spec construction machines will be thin on the ground and like a needle in a haystack.

There are lots features on an a Ag machine that you just take for granted, it’s not just a badge and higher price.

If money was no object I’d sit down with JCB and get them to make me a ag spec 533-105, full pressurised New style cab, 6speed 40k, 140hp, joystick controls, Boom suspension, high flow hydraulic headstock, rear Hyd pickup.. I imagine the cost would be £75k+

Come on guys, you're only going to shift a pallet of blocks around with it. It's not like its got to run up and down a silage clamp a thousand times in a day- there's the price difference!

They all run out of reach eventually the Standard10m is Completely adequate for general house building/site work.
It’s surprising how you don’t need any revs on to lift a pack of blocks For example, some nice low down torque in the new JCB engines

agree 10m is enough as they all the same max out at 6m with a pack of blocks. Extra reach is nice for placing beams and can allways add a truss lifter if need more height for lifting them up.

I have been quiet for the last few days after recovering from the quote for a C50 for Worsley Plant to go on the 8tonner!!

If it's of any use, I have a crusher bucket for an 8 tonner that I hire out?

Distance no object, its just finished a hire in Kent. BAV CB08, simple and does what it says on the tin, about 8 ton an hour.

That's right couldn't remember but wasn't long ago you got it. What's it like swinging a full dumpy bag about at full stretch cos mb buckets are a ton plus whatever you're crushing and you'll know it's on there. They make them work on the oil side as well.
