Hi gents, firstly glad to see we're all surviving the current madness.
These really are strange old times, we should be in a mess but like a few others on here I'm mad busy and am looking at buying more kit.
I'm thinking of getting a telehandler, I desperately need something in the yard but also have a bit of earning work so the thing can earn its keep.
All pretty simple so far, my problem is this, I want something I can drive to jobs under its own steam, I'd like something with jack legs on. The ag spec machines are usually pretty decent on the road, but don't have jacks, the construction spec ones have jacks but are no better than an overloaded mobility scooter one the road.
So help me, is there some construction spec machines with say 40km box that will actually travel up hills not just down?
Do I go without the jacks and just get a big ag spec one?
Its main jobs outside the yard would be roof trusses with a jib, the odd piece of steel lifted in on extensions and probably the occasional pack of brick up on the scaffold, so I was thinking a 10m machine would have enough reach and be a bit more compact?
Thoughts/opinions/experiences would be appreciated
