Are you looking at wireless for ease of fitting or to go on the boom?
I`ve found wireless ones tend to pick up a bit of interference.

I've fitted a wired camera to cover the blind spot on the offside when the booms raised and it works well and has better coverage than the mirror.

where would you fit a camera on the carriage so it doesn't get smashed off and still provides a decent view? last time i tried to find a wireless camera to fit on the dipper of a digger wireless signal wasnt a problem but they all required a 12v power feed

ditto ..... mounted it on the mirror arm, just below the mirror .... way more viz than the mirror, by a factor of 3-4 at least

Like the mount, simple but effective.
has worked well Gra (y)and not moved at all ... lump of nylon drilled to suit mirror arm, cut through that - two halves tapped together to clamp it and the camera mount bolt tapped into the bottom half ... the nylon's as good as a self locker :giggle:

To be fair the machine its on hardly moves either 🤣🤣
I really don't have to take this level of abuse :p:p:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ...... but you're right, not much these days ... but has seen plenty of action when it first got fitted .... and it saved me co-pilot a few times

Am looking for wireless so can mount anywhere probably more so on fly jib to get better view for positioning.

Is the picture quality good?
ranges from pretty good to utter crap, depending on light conditions and the direction i'm pointing in ..... good enough to save the co-pilots skin a couple of times and stop me hitting anything usually .... 's only a cheapo chinky set up though .... if it was earning a living a better set up would be advisable for a more reliable pic
