TB016 blade cylinder lost power

Hi guys
I have a little Takeuchi digger TB016. I think it’s a 2000 model.
The blade recently lost power, albeit still can lift itself and lower itself, just can’t do much more than that.
I pulled the cylinder and had a cylinder guy open it up and look at it. He said it’s fine and has no leaks visible from the outside while in operation.
I’m thinking it’s the block control valve? The lever cable for the blade doesn’t seem to be blocked or broken.
I’ve linked some pics and a video of me operating it below (google pics link - actually I had to remove the link. Will try to add some other way).

You’ll notice when I have the blade on the ground and try to lift the machine weight on it, the engine bogs down as if it’s working hard, but the cylinder doesn’t further actuate.

Any help?

Might be your rotating valve block that allows rotation can’t think of the proper name but seals go in them that allows the upper structure to rotate.

rotary coupling Giles -- senior moment - have loads of them

hmm OK thanks - the rotary coupling is under the circled blue area in the attached?
I assume to replace this need to drain the hydraulic tank and unbolt those hoses covering?

is it the block assembly as shown in the block assembly attachments? Is that something different?

I tried to send a link of the video operating but got the error message as per attached.

The rotary coupling is accessed from under the track frame by removing a plate.

Before making a arse out of yourself, double check the changeover valve for the expanding tracks isn't stuck halfway and throw some oil over it to ensure it's properly free.

@JD450A - the expanding tracks are definitely stuck in position and have been since I bought the machine ('twas the cheapest in WA at the time) .. but why would this be linked to the blade functionality?

I do not envy anyone having to remove a rotary coupling from any machine - small or large .. 's a lot of effort

Use the same circuit.. given you said they don’t work this is a good place to start!

On my digger the lever for the blade also operates the expanding tracks.

To switch between the functions there is a different lever by the driver's right knee.

The blade wouldn't move on my machine, it turned out that this lever wasn't being depressed fully (to switch the valve to blade operation) because of a load of crap built up underneath the cab floor.

Once I cleared this out I could use the blade again.

Your digger may be the same.

I'm not delving any deeper than that to get depressed, but I'm 90% sure it's going to be this.

Final question, the workshop manual for this machine. It’s worth buying? Can’t find a download anywhere

hey all, I'm all good. It was the lever for the blade/expanding tracks as suspected above. It was jammed with gunk and oily residue so, once I removed all that, it freed up the level and voila!
Thanks for the advice. Saved me a lot of time and energy for sure!
ALSO - another win - I found the workshop manual on the Classic Machinery Network - so I'm basically unleashed upon the world fully now.
