personally the last lot were the 2 for a tenner from screwfix ,i have had fat max etc ends are 2 big and too heavy ,always getting wet and muddy so no tape likes it ,have indoor and outdoor tapes

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
used to buy 'em by the box from Cromwells or the like - was always plenty of tapes lying about the shop, aside from everyone's own individual tape ... biggest killer was the guillo/ironworker (ends got chopped off):ROFLMAO: or they'd get a flash from the hot stick and that'd be the end of another one :oops:-- kept my 'good' tapes in the office desk ;)

No, just point it at the ground where you need to measure to and it’ll do the trig calcs for you.

Theres a camera with a crosshairs on it for longer distances.
Didn't even know there was a mode to do that 👍
Just had a look at the manual for my x4 didn't realise half the stuff it can do. I just use it for basic measuring, always held it steady and pinged numbers when it said 0 degree

oh thats cool I did not realise it worked like that, another item to add to the Christmas list ! :)

Not a bad price for these in screwfix at the moment apparently.
