216 is the replacement for the 016 but complete redesign of looks hydraulic system etc. 219 is the first 200 series machine but actually should probably have been called 019 as they are really a gravedigger spec version of 016 (longer blade, longer track frame, wider track frame longer arm bigger bum) basically a higher spec 016.
The thing that i don't get about the following and high prices for 016s is that its a digger which will be minimum 12 years old (I'm sure they finished about 09) yet you can still buy near on the same machine (219) now. End of the day a machine circa 15 year old however well looked after is still piped up with 15 year old hoses etc.

Once something gets holy grail status it's hard to remove. .look at Stihl 200T prices 🤣🤣

I’ve seen a few dealers selling 216s a few years old around a 1000 hrs for similar money I paid new for mine- think a lot of people are jumping the band wagon and trying their luck. If people are stupid enough to pay it then fair play.
Think the 016 ran upto around 2013- I nearly bought a new one back then and would have done quite well out of it if I had!

I priced up a new tb217r the other day as I would like a 1.5t machine next. I'm tempted to get a 016 because I would have to cut the roof off to get it on the garage and don't really want to do that to a new machine.

I bought my TB016 in I think 2008. Been a great machine apart from the dumbass that fell foul of a double camber after doing the hard work a few years ago.
When it works it grafts its not a lazy machine.

well being a biz seller they'm leaving themselves wide open if they're claiming 77.2 hrs ..... and it ain't :rolleyes::unsure: ...... imagine the damage some muppet could do to it in half an hour and then multiply that by 12 dozen :oops::oops::cry::cry::cry:
