Just found these photos. Can you guess what it was for? Messing about during Xmas break in 2018. Worked well as an experiment but we universally decided it was a bit of a H&S risk.

Yes that’s the concept. High flow large hoover.

You got it . For cleaning out old plastic oil tanks of sludge /fuel/water. The twin drums were to try and keep the liquid away from the power source. 2 outlet pipes at different heights allowed us to partially separate the fuel from the water. .

Apart from feeling like it could catch fire at any moment, it worked well enough. After we decommissioned this we bought a one way drum vac to fit one of the barrels. When it was full we would lift up with forklift and drain into an IBC. Outlets used to clog easily.
