I thought about doing exactly this, but keeping the water and shite out of it was my main concern, as well as making the bottom out of some thick enough not to get caved in.

Really good, known a few lads just who have just plated the underside and just left a few weep holes at either side for water to drain out, but as Rory said, all depends on the driver.

It also depends on the work the machines used for. If I was on relatively dry work, like general building or road type stuff, then I think I’d have done it on my 86c, as there’s nowhere to put anything really, but I find myself in the shite more often than not, so I decided against it.
