I like that as an idea or even an innocent looking Hella socket in series with the ignition circuit / fuel system / dead man ...... no 'trick' plug - no go

Yeah think it was a local contractor had some GPS antennas nicked. This one was a bit close to home as it was stolen about 30 secs/ 1 minute from our base! You never think they'd bother us out in the sticks. Not got many details yet on what has actually occured but it's got folk round here more nervous about leaving kit parked un-attended in the field.

I was thinking more of an actual contractor (I think groundworks, but uses tractors to move earth and machinery) who’s renowned for being dodgy was found in possession of a load of stolen plant. I thought that was somewhere in your neck of the woods but it might have been Derbyshire possibly.

I'm on the Isle of Wight, unfortunately I went to bandit country (the mainland) and it was gone within an hour of being parked.
