Splicing wiring loom preferences

The knipex ones look really good with interchangeable die's
I have a draper set they are more than adequate
I find quality crimps to be equally important I have some I don't know where they came from but they are junk the metal is to thin and doesn't extend far enough into the plastic collar you have to be really careful to make a good connection
Whereas some just Chuck on the wire and crimp without thinking and it's always a secure connection

what is a good set of crimpers?

suitably shaped jaws for the connectors being used ... these are bloody cheap .... paid more than that for each of mine ... love the interchange-ablility of these

same with everything these days .... pay what you want ... according to usage .... if your work relies on 'em ... pay for brands you trust ... use it a few times a month/year even ...... 'halfords' 'll do
