as title .......or may be soon

" Following a retender process, Amey has decided to drop HSS Hire Group as its tool supplier after nine years and move to another supplier. "

that is going to sting -- and some:oops:

" It also means that Amey employees will lose their 40% staff discount on HSS catalogue prices. " o_O

old article but may go a way to explaining the above

and whilst we're on the subject of Amey

" Having culled the poor performing bits of the business, Amey is back in expansion and diversification mode. "

Used to do a hell of a lot for them, including renting them bits of my yard regularly as a base in the area ... were good payers too (y)

" The company is hoping to work with social housing providers to tap into the £270m investment promised by the Welsh government to upgrade affordable housing in the country "

filling the void left by Everest & UK Windows and Doors going bust ..... probably a big hole to fill in Wales  and lots of public bucks up for grab

hardly net zero friendly though ..... WTF do they think all their plastic comes from??????:unsure:o_O:rolleyes:

This thread or the electric car thread...
They just opened their new showroom in Milton Keynes and slashed prices recently too.
Feel sorry for the people who parted up with over £50k.
Whats the options for owners with zero main dealer backup? Cant imagine the way out of this other than an 'accidental' fire..
Another one bites the dust...reality is hitting...
Imagine a 50k leccy milk float with no dealer or software updates etc ...fire 🔥 is best option.
Lots of these outfits had handouts etc as well...🤬

So ' larger than life' character Bob the builder has gone pop and the administrators have had to put security on his lavish old house to stop angry subbies causing damage. Shame he is long gone, I would of paid ringside seats for that one..
Remember them flaunting their house and cars when in reality they weren't paying their bills.
Wankers.
HTF do you get .. " £725m in debt. " FFS :mad::mad:

a super car collection including 2 Lamborghinis and a 211mph ferrari will help you along nicely :ROFLMAO:
yes but what moron gives you that level of credit in the first place ... he's obviously not paid in his own cash for them or he wouldn't be busted

Never saw the fun in buying a car unseen.I know you could send it back etc etc but if its a big purchase, find the time to view it.
The bigger picture is where has all the money gone..
My daughter purchased a car from them and it was quite a smooth transaction with the car delivered to her door. No quibble returns policy and priced quite competitively.
It is a tough market in which you need to know your stock and move a lot of metal!! Clearly they didn’t and couldn’t!!

saw a number somewhere that the profit per unit was £125. That's not massive money really considering the size of the beast..
Im sure it is viable on paper, but obv it didnt work out in this instance.

Looks to be more to it than that.
The bulk of the money owed is to a shell company that has shares in them.
Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being a money laundering thing

Was loads about it online a bit back.

Ultimately directors of a company have fiduciary responsibility when running a company ,about time they went after all of them and the previous ones who no doubt creamed a fortune out of it....
