I heard a story of when a large distribution company went pop...the first night when the news hit apparently their main London distribution warehouse was left "unattended"..
A bloke I know managed to get several artic loads out of his stuff that they were distributing
..but he said it was utter carnage during the night ...forklift firms rocking up with lowloaders and taking everything they could...all on tick and they knew following day the leaches I mean administrators would lock it down...
Sure enough following morning security firm locked the site down....but a heck of a lot had gone he said mostly folks stuff etc but deffo some "opurtunity knocks "type as well..😆😆

How come these brothers can carry on in business, The have this much debt but are able to carry on buying up other businesses, I believe these people have so much debt that they cant be allowed to go bust because of the implications caused to everyone else around them. This is where big business ethics are so wrong having to keep your shareholders happy! I worked for a company many years ago a flourishing family owned mail order business that tuned over 6 million a year with a very healthy margin too as we manufactured about a third of the items that we sold, Along comes a group of so called city Gents (venture Capitalist) or asset strippers as i like to call them, first thing they do is stop our show profile so nobody gets to see our products in the flesh then they sell of the companies premises to a friend of my family ( more about that later) I have a very heated meeting asking them why stop us doing shows where our customers come to view our items and our members of staff ,The answer was the shows don't pay for themselves, I tell them Bollocks we code all of our sales from shows and over the year the all pay for themselves, Then i ask why are you selling our property assets off, Their man linked to Barclays walks away very red faced as he can't deal with confrontation and someone that knows what they were up to, They were paying there own business consultant over £1000 a day ( back in the nineties) The business consultants were all part of the same venture capitalist group so basically they were all paying themselves out of our companies profit ,They outsourced our manufacturing which was a disaster, I had to try and sort it all out, Finally the chairman of this company took me to lunch and admitted they should have listened to me and i was infact correct with my facts, I told him it was all too late and they had run a perfectly profitable company into the ground! Then i had a tip of that they were putting the company into receivership, my ace card was phoning our friend who they were now renting the premises from and had not paid the rent for months, I told him what was happening and said get a locksmith over this evening and get all of the locks changed which he did, The folowing morning i was greeted by the receivers who could not get into the building or touch the stock! Of course i was allowed in which did not go down well, next there was a meeting all of the staff and the receivers, I was asked to hand over the company export manual that i had produced and i told them a flat no chance as i had produced it in my own time at home on my personal computer so there were not having it at that point i was ordered off the premises so I got up from the meeting table and all of the staff that were left also got up and we all walked out with me leaving everyone else looking at each other, ( it gave me great satisfaction getting that support from a group of people that were about to be made redundant) I reported the way these so called city businessmen had acted from start to finish to the department of trade and industry who never bothered replying to me. These Fuc??ing so called business men should not be allowd to operate in business they have no idea and do not have a clue as to how to run a business. To this day I am still angry over these idiots .

Fully agree about this crowd something very smelly everyone round here hates their guts some of the stories of them screwing small contractors if true make you mental.

And your tale above what about when you become a director you have responsibility and are reminded of it ...and yet whoever does anyone for badly running a ltd co...

I can remember banks doing this in the 90s . Once they had you on bank loans they then insisted that in order to keep the borrowing in place they needed to protect their vested interest and so needed to put someone who represented their interests on the board . That was all the inroad they needed . They wrecked loads of perfectly viable companies

Birmingham council bankrupt (labour) Slough council bankrupt (labour) Croydon council bankrupt (labour) woking bankrupt (libDem) Thurrock Bankrupt (conservative) I thought we paid our council taxes for our services not for councils to badly invest our money so they can give themselves big pensions. Kent council lost a load of money in the banking crash as it was invested out in Iceland, The Kent County council leader was being paid more that the priminister! I heard on another programme i believe it was Southampton council has a load of valuable art in its vaults, It's time councils were overhauled, Yesterday there was an article about council staff working from home and also working from their second homes in France and Spain, One council even had someone working from Brazil- WTF all of this s**t has to stop, Poor sevices poor roads, As usual good old middle Englanders end up footing the bills, I wonder what the books look like for Drakeford in Wales - any news there Mr Druid?

Public sector and Home office all seem to be unfit for purpose, Its time for a real cull of dead wood in the Civil Service and a total overhaul of councils incuding stopping devolved councils. One thing is for sure Starmer wont be the person to do it i know!
