Heathrow have 12 in formation to clear the runway. The planes themselves aren't especially affected by snow as such, its the fact they cant tell where the taxi/ runway is vs the grass that's the problem. If they loose sight of the center line then the procedure is to stop and that's what did Heathrow in back in 2010
