6200kg, only filled it with logs so far, doesn’t know it’s behind the 6125, when it drys up I’ve got loads to shift on a job so will report back!
Yeah I got a set of ramps for it, they don’t fit under the trailer as it’s a low body version, but they slide nicely under the machine nicely - my machine tends to sit on a job for 6months+ so it’s no bother.
also got internal tie down points added onto it, as they don’t come as standard.
Just adding a access ladder onto it this week so I can get into the back safely.

I always figured they must weigh a bit more than others by the fact they are about the only trailer manufacturer to not list unladen weight on any of their advertising/brochures.

They don’t list alot to be honest, probably the worst thing about broughan is the complete lack of information & communication they give! Everything is ‘yeah it’s about 20ft long or 2ft high, something like that’ nothing is very official, you just know all your going to get is a bloody good trailer.

No doubt they are good, but it's a bit like the scandi buckets it's easy to make something superior lasting when it's half as heavy again as the competition.

I was always lead to believe they were around 4500kg empty.. will have to put it on the weigh bridge oneday.. either way, you wouldn’t know it’s behind you. Like the saying goes ‘nothing tows like a broughan’

All well and good but if you start off empty with extra 2 ton it's an extra 2 ton when it's loaded and that's when it shows itself.

Does it really fukcing matter how heavy it is? Truth is nobody knows how much it weighs, Dave might one day if he weighs it. And luckily there’s only one person who’s bought that trailer, that’s Dave, and I’d like to think that he’s happy with it, or he’d not have been willing to share pics of it.

Having said that if you buy one for ag work and wish to stay within the legal 18.29 ton to use cherry the trailer should be plated with its unladen weight or its gross weight so you know how much you can put in it (not just a sticker on the side that says you can put 14 ton in) if you're going on the road.

You have it completely wrong.
You put the 14t sticker on 20t trailer which basically makes it legal.
Unless you have ramps under the body in which case you need a pilots license

To be honest I’d rather a well built bomb proof trailer, than a wafer thin thing just to save some overall weight, if it’s going to bog down at 20ton it’s pretty much going down at 18ton also! That said it’s mostly sand here so is solid ground.
I’ve purchased it for off road use, I mostly run large open sites and can’t be bothered with running around smaller dumpers anymore. I ain’t the time to be using it for off-site muck shifts, I just hire in a fleet of 8w tippers and get the job done quickly with the correct paperwork etc.
The weights quoted are all from the serial number plate, so I can only assume correct?
