Don't know what your lifting but have you tried one of the little wiedermann telehandlers. Might be a bit of a compromise between hire price and destruction. Not as good as the multione but cheaper to hire and not as destructive as the jcbs that really are amazing at sinking

Talking about the 525-60? . Most telehandlers don’t like off road really… our 533-105 is nearly 10ton on what is skinny tyres, that’s without picking up its 3.3ton max weight! Wants a decent stoned up area to work it without going down the axles!

No I was on a out these. A few hire companies have then round here but cheaper hire rate than an avant.
It is alot about tyres as the agri super jcbs on big wide tyres weigh the same but the wide tyres mean they arnt nearly as bad as the construction ones

agreed ..... but why pay tax on the year, if it's been a good one ?
lot of allowances on new capital plant against tax .. I always used to prefer to spend it than give it away and always had the gear to use (and sell at a later date after it'd been written down some)
property maintenance was the best one at 100% deductible
