It works!!! But as has been said on the old forum don’t bother screening wet material.....and definitely don’t bother screening in the rain!!

I think I should have gone for a bigger screen than 40mm. I am tempted to open it up to 80mm. The idea being to use the 20mm screen to produce the finer material!

A most dumpy bags sit around 800kg with wet sand.

A lot of the dumpy bags are filled by volume not weight.
Those bag filling buckets, for aggregates filled level are normally 0.6 or 0.8 cube.

A lot of dumpy bags are a lot smaller than they used to be. I understood the original to be 1m3 (100x100x100cm). Most now are 85x85x85cm which is 0.61m3. Even the 90x90x90cm which are harder to buy is only 0.73m3. Most people wouldn't be able to tell an 85cm bag from a 100 looking at it and certainly wouldn't realise the huge difference in volume if the did notice.
I would sell it by the bag so there are no complaints and you don't have to faff about getting tested scales and weighing each one.

Plenty of demand.... screened soil has been going off the back of my wagon at £50/t bagged or not.

Depends where you are and what's happening in the area. We're getting 20ton loads delivered for £120 a load. We've had 7 with another 2 on order.

So to update.
Got it up and running and towed out to site.

Ready to attack this lot

So far I have learnt a lot about screening in the past week
1. If it is wet it is hard work.
2. If it is raining it is impossible!!!
3. Screen decks don’t like tree roots!!
4. If you leave it in the hedge don’t expect it to work straight off without some TLC!!!

We have a rare bucket that fits the 3 ton machine so we where pre sorting then screening. I have managed to hire a riddle bucket for the 8 tonner as we have about 300tons that we can riddle rather than screen. I am (And the client) are impressed with the soil that is coming out. In fairness the soil has always looked rich but complete with bricks, stone and metalwork. We have screened with a 40mm deck. We have about 60 ton that is looking particularly rich which we might stick through the 20mm mesh before we do the final planting areas.
I am also visiting a friend that has some bigger mesh decks available.

looks bloody good ... why wasn't i making these ??? looks pretty basic
could do with making the tow bar removable Shaun ..... bet it's a pain in amongst all the stuff that rolls off ?

It should pull out Gra, there all just usually in box sections.

It is removable. But as we have various piles all around the site it is easier yo pick up the towbar and attach a sling to move around
