Yes if your careful could work, still its not roadwork so often cant get truck close enough and must be worth a rough old bin to mix in esp if weathers dodgy.
Don’t you run a pan mixer for lime etc? Ir have I remembered wrong?
We often need lean mix (spec is usually stabilized sand at 200kg per m3, we have used a plant for a long time but its getting very expensive, other day for first time we knocked some up in the dumper, my rough reckoning was split a 35kg bag into 1200 s40 scandi bucket , face shovel the bucket into the sand heap till full tip into dumper and mix, engcon helped the mixing process, did it dry then wet it as it went round the tank. ..surely there is a clean way to mix up some gear without the expense of and transport of a stand alone unit.
Think someone on here said they mix up in a old bin which wouldn't be a bad shout, anyone used a mixer bucket on a 6t size machine ?
no tow bar on your truck Kev?Smartbut its a lot of money there and another trip.
Yeah there is but don't really want to mess with a trailer if its avoidable.no tow bar on your truck Kev?
backwards is the sensible way to go down a steep hill on a fully loaded dumper ... have had plenty of practise on my 6t thwaites -- forwards is not a good ideaI’ve used one on rough ground and it handled steep slopes better than expected, though I found the weight shift can be tricky when fully loaded going downhill.
Same with the Avantbackwards is the sensible way to go down a steep hill on a fully loaded dumper ... have had plenty of practise on my 6t thwaites -- forwards is not a good idea![]()
You’ve not got enough counterweights then!Same with the Avant
Pan Mixer with a big mix is heavy so rather play safeYou’ve not got enough counterweights then!
Backwards is definitely the way to go up a steep hill without a load on for me. It’s very rear heavy until you put something in the bucket.
What does that tell you? To think some folk have unfortunately paid the new price off a dealer? Is euros the actual price it should have been?place seems to have turned into a dumping ground for new Chinese stuff never seen so much
To be fair most is not the Branded Sany Xcmg stuff but there was some included But I did wonder if what was destined for the USA if coming here instead because of tariffs but big numbers 60 plus tracked stand on skid steers 60 plus mini ex , 50 plus generators , buckets , breaker , flails skid steer attachment etc etc .What does that tell you? Yes I was meaning the unbranded or vaguely attempted branded stuff you see on eBay ..To be fair most is not the Branded Sany Xcmg stuff but there was some included But I did wonder if what was destined for the USA if coming here instead because of tariffs but big numbers 60 plus tracked stand on skid steers 60 plus mini ex , 50 plus generators , buckets , breaker , flails skid steer attachment etc etc .
quality seemed to vary allot from mini's with bolts not pins and no grease nipples to some stuff that looked reasonable but no CE marks , no rollover protection etc
in tomorrows sale not today but looked at last sale results and where starting at only £1500 in sept so there or thereabout the qty should keep the price downYes I was meaning the unbranded or vaguely attempted branded stuff you see on eBay ..
What sorta money did the tracked skids go for?
Handy yard tool with a set of forks for loading the mill etc especially as not everyday tool.

I bought a couple at £1750 plus commission and vat I've a job for one and will probably sell the other , they are no "bobcat" but would be ideal for cleaning out a stables or doing to a modest amount of work , in yard loading a few transit tippers a week or something like that may regret it yet but at that price worth a go .Did they not go £2 to 2.5k? There's a boxer 427 in Lincoln on Facebook for £3.5k. The HAVs on the Chinese versions are shocking. I wouldn't want to spend any length of time on one and I reckon fittings would work loose overtime.
Would be interested in your thoughts, saw there was a load in and I do watch the YouTube videos of the reviews... mylifeintreesI bought a couple at £1750 plus commission and vat I've a job for one and will probably sell the other , they are no "bobcat" but would be ideal for cleaning out a stables or doing to a modest amount of work , in yard loading a few transit tippers a week or something like that may regret it yet but at that price worth a go .
