Seen develon were selling the dx27z twin aux and I believe with ac for 29k, think Volvo and cat are a fair bit over 30k
Volvo Tak and Kubota all seem that bit more £. I guess they do hold their values well which might even it out. Yanmar would be a contender if it wasn't for that awful offset

You have had a cracked track frame though and when I was looking at that E26 before Christmas I could see why- not a great design and I'm always grappling around with stuff far too big for the machine really. I know it's repairable but shouldn't have to be doing that IMO. Same as Monkeys TB230.
And you really think a Sany will be any better?

i dont see sany as owner op choice personally but each to his own - large companies round here are buying them in their short-sighted greedyness despite having great machines made in uk and eu 🤦 same tools will be complaining they have no choice in 15 years time.

Yeah all fair points and I agree entirely with them. Guess was trying to be a bit cheap and have it as 2nd machine that could run a rotating grab and not something id be afraid to give it a bit of rough and ready/machine to leave on sites where exposed to public/thefts etc

Has anyone had a go on the CAT? I spoke to a guy the other day who has one (it wasn’t there though sadly) and he reckons it’s fantastic. I’ve never actually seen one in the flesh.

@doobin says it wouldn’t track AND run aux. I’ve sat in one and they certainly SEEM good.

They do get good feedback. But again the made in china but and paying a premium price for it is a bit of a sting, paint is not great on ones I've seen either, big contractor near here has more or less everything CAT now. Had a year old 13t that was being resprayed- at least cat were honouring it but still

Must be a market for someone to make a hot dipped galvanised machine surely ? I was looking at the boom/dipper on my E10 yesterday trying to work out if it was dippable 🤔

Veyr few machines will track and run aux- it needs an extra pump section or a really good priority valve setup.

The 302.7 I tried i didn't test the aux on. It wouldn't even more the arm whilst tracking at full revs in low speed. However, it was the smoothest 2.7t I've ever graded with. Felt noddy though with just a standard grader- would definitely want the extra counterweight but even then I bet it couldn't hold a candle to a Bobcat or Yanmar lifting timber with a grab.

get some extra counter weight on a wacker !
I do like a matching pair tbf! I've only used one in the dealers yard. One thing I did notice was the tracking did seem to rob from everything else quite dramatically, definitely didn't seem to flow share like my TB228. But otherwise felt like a nice machine. Solid looking build.
