Some of you may have seen the press releases today that Sandhill Plant and ATV have been appointed Sany dealers for Northants, Bucks and Warwickshire.

In my time of Sandhill I have always wanted to find a brand that matched my ambition of reaching new highs and being the best at what we can do.
It’s fair to say I had been approached by a few that were just not right but when Sany called it got my interest.

Third largest manufacture of excavators worldwide, big on specification and a desire to take market share backed by a five year full warranty. To me this matched my ambitions and challenge that would be suitable for Sandhill and our great team. We can represent a brand that is up and comming, a brand that also matches my principles of putting customers first.

I’m sure it won’t be easy but we have units in stock, full parts and after sales support.

Things won’t change we are still commited to selling used machines , so part exchanges are not a problem either we don’t need to have them underwritten and can even offer buybacks.

Anyway it’s another chapter for the ongoing book.
If anybody is in the market or wants to take a look , let us know 🙂

Someone I know has a Sany 12 tonner and is very pleased with it, has had no problems with it the operator likes it and i think it was probably price that determined the purchase.

They have just realeased there next cab design on some of the stuff and it really feels top draw. I see a lot of posts from people who havnt even sat in one. I belive in years to come they will be vastly improved and that belief is why im giving it a whirl.

Wish you well with this journey. Not a brand I would go with unless the dealer was on my doorstep and one I could trust. Shame you are not on my doorstep!!

Best of luck with it Ross! You are certainly well set up to PX machines in 👌🏻
Sany as a brand certainly aren’t to be snubbed, all you have to do is look at the docks all over the world and they are everywhere - working that is! Big in the container moving world!

My main question is what price point are they at compared to ‘premium’ brand machines? Saw some go through euros last week and they were easily 25% cheaper with only 25% of the hours…..

I think in anything when its a unknown the least best place is a auction, We follow the auctions closly as i need to be spot on but i diddnt think they were horrific, maybe the 1.5's were very cheap the 2.5's not so much and the 5-8s i thought were ok.

I sat with my cost prices infront of me and i am confident i can make it work.

All prices were all over the show last week by the way, to much stock to little demand its going to show up some horrific pricing. Once the market stabilises and demand is a bit better i am confident it will show ok

When I was looking 3 years ago only 2k if that in it. No idea these, did consider updating the 8026 but will be too much of a loss selling and the price I had from at was eye watering at the time
Be interesting to see how they now going, as there will be a few getting on not only in age but hours.
Small saving on purchase but if they are 25% less with a fraction of the hours of the main brands then bit more costly per hour/year of overall ownership

would you belive theres been 5000 sold in the uk to date... suprised me

I belive the cost of ownership would be less than some of your go to greedy brands. All in my opinion but equally sending kit to auction is a risk and there are plenty of examples of cheap machines out there whatever the brand.

I apreciate residual is a thing i harp on about it daily to people but only if the cost is the same. Also in a oversaturated market its never going to be easy the last few auctions do show that for all brands and sizes, the Sanys last auction did look fairly cheap but zero warranty to be considered

Ideal! I look after a Sany 3.6 tonner, the local dealer moved onto sunward or XCMG so we are left high and dry for parts. So I'll be in contact as I need bits for said machine.

I’ve bought kit from auction before and claimed warrenty via main dealer on the bits wrong with them..is that not possible with sany?
I’d like to think the warrenty is with the machine not the initial purchaser. Most of the Sany machines I saw were 2022+ ? Just curious.
supposidly not, I couldnt tell you why probably so there isnt loads dumped in auction. Il find out and revert back

the warranty transfers just not via auction
