Happy 70th Birthday to me

Gonna start the day with the local Parkrun. It will be my no. 228 this week and have made many friends at the local parkrun in Harwich

Then it will be 'open house' here for family and friends. So if any of you lot are passing then please pop in for a cuppa and some cake

It all started at Harwich Parkrun this morning. They ambushed me with cards, cakes and balloons...

Gave my usual "First Timers Welcome" ...

Note the big badge

Then Emma, the Race Director, announced it. More claps and cheers on the 5k course. So, I only went and ran my quickest time this year, coming back from injury

All through the day our 'open house' has paid off. Steady stream of family and friends have all called in

But I didn't start drinking until midday (honest)

Big vote of thanks to SWMBO, aka, Sharon who will join me in August and then we go on cruise to celebrate not only our 70th but also Golden Wedding

Sounds like your making the most of life and all it has to offer- where will you be cruising?

We usually go on various cruises once a year these days
And prefer the smaller ships, but have been on the P&O Iona once
So we are doing a fly/cruise later this year in the Eastern Med starting at Alicante - "Adriatic with Corsica and the Almalfi Coast" on board the MV Balmoral. Soooo looking forward to it
