Gearbox/Drive axle is different. But engine is identical, engine bay layout also looks spot on the same, counterweight and entire chassis isn't a million miles out. Wonder if there was abit of badge engineering going on?
Looks like I’m gonna have to post loads of photos of my lovely old Hyster especially when I do the refurb ;)

So my Groundworker friend says can you just do a dig out for a driveway? Two days should do it :ROFLMAO:

Whole front garden reduce 250mm ready for block paving

3 grab lorry loads later and we are still going

Always the snags that hold us up :p
Someone buried a random telephone cable across one of the entrances

Day 3 - Can you just dig a few trenches for drainage :ROFLMAO:

So in the last 3 days must have changed buckets about 300 times
Really pleased that I added the Pro-Lok quick hitch earlier this year (y)

Day 4 tomorrow should see me finish loads of trenches for drainage
Truck already loaded up with my assorted bag of ‘come in handy’ 110 fittings ;)

That Pro Lock looks brilliant mate, bet it tightened the front end up too.

Are you noticing any loss of breakout? I bet you're noticing the extra reach!!

Yes - wish I'd got one years ago  Don't think I'll ever go back to greasy pins in the dirt
And no haven't noticed any loss of breakout. Mind you it's a powerful little old machine
The extra reach is very useful for grading off. Just have to be extra careful that I don't catch the dozer blade or tracks :ROFLMAO:

So yesterday should have been the last day for me on site at sunny Point Clear - loads more 'can you just' have popped up during the day :ROFLMAO:
IMG_8971.jpeg

Like this little old trench for surface water - bit of a technical dig with 3 x foul water, 32mm water and 2 x gas pipes going on
Got me a bit puckered up pulling the top off before grabbing the Armstrong spade and shovel :ROFLMAO:

IMG_8977.jpeg

Towards the end of the day got out quick as this lorry arrive with more crushed
He took the 4th load of Muckaway from this dig out ;)
The saying goodbyes to my Groundworker friend and the client, they said can you just come in one day next week to speed and level the Type 1
The answer was yes even through I am flat out and fully booked

The nice thing about all this drama is that at the beginning and end of each day, get into a nice place for a pleasant drive to/from home
Really pleased with the Navara. Only mod I've done this week is to remove the height adjustable tow hitch. Rattling too much
Leather seats covered up whilst working on sites, air con is superb. Plenty of grunt towing about 3 tonne.
Fuel economy is excellent. Loads of room under the Truckman top for kit. Gonna have to work out racks, boxes or drawers etc......

So next week will be back on the Point Clear site to grade off the Type 1.
The Groundworker, will be all over the place and is useless on the Laser staff and hand signals
So, last night tested the Topcon v Leica LMR240 on the dipper......
IMG_8979.jpeg

Gonna be interested next week grading the Type 1 solo with laser tilt set to grade.
This will be a first for me and another learning curve :p

The first time I did it trying to be a smart arse and show up all the ‘we don’t need a laser’ comments I set the fall up back to front 😂 luckily I noticed and rectified it very quickly before going back to my humble pie

With experience most operators can 'rough out' by eye. Then you get a shock when you fire up the laser t check
It's nice that we can all admit our mistakes on this forum :ROFLMAO:
The great thing that I like is that members always give great advice based on their real experiences (y)
Even through I'm 63 and semi-retired I always say, "You never stop learning" ;)

So yesterday saw me helping a neighbour opposite. Poor old boy at 82 has just had a replacement hip. He has been struggling with expensive and ineffective heating systems, storage heater and log fires etc.:( Now he is finally having a decent oil fired boiler and radiators installed :giggle:
He asked 'Can you just' put in a concrete base oil tank - yes I'll do it for cost of material only

IMG_8984.jpeg

Oil tank is a BV1360 - a round vertical just under 1.5m diameter. OFTEC regs states 1800mm from building for tank.
Concrete support must be 300mm wider than tank on all sides. I opted for a nice 2100mm square.
Regs also state that ground must have 150mm of 'hardcore', blinded and compacted.
Then finished with 100mm of concrete :geek:

IMG_8987.jpeg

All roughed out and yes I did use my laser - my supervisor doesn't miss a trick :ROFLMAO:

IMG_8989.jpeg

Nice bit of 4x2 all levelled and pegged out ready for blinding and wacking later today.
Why do we do these things in a heat wave:ROFLMAO:

was bloody hot here yesterday  .... we all want some 'weather' but it's always all or nothing  ..... my 'co-pilot' kept a very low profile yesterday, thankfully ......

mowing the grass takes half the time without him sat on my lap or on the ride-on's bonnet ;)

there wasn't a lot done yesterday afternoon in the heat of the day, I can tell you:LOL: .......

We too have 2 cats that follow us every where
Regarding mowing your lawn photo - what's going on there? Big moles or what :p
Then there's the 6 grandchildren - we usually have any combination arrive for some fun
IMG_8991.jpeg

They always jump on a machine and have rides - am so effing careful with precious cargos

IMG_8992.jpeg

This is how I cooled down yesterday with our 10 year old granddaughter Natasha aka Tashy
She's 10 going on 20 and thinks that she's a mermaid :ROFLMAO:

IMG_9007.jpeg

Our oldest 17 yr old granddaughter Megan usually spends Saturdays here
So we had to repeat the process several times today :ROFLMAO:
We have had the old above ground pool (sunk in slightly) about 29 years now.
4 generations of our family have enjoyed this pool.
Last year, I thought about decommissioning it. Loosing about an 1" a week with leaks and going rusty
However, we are keeping it going this summer......
.......SWMBO says that I can't have another one. We shall see ;)

😁 that just sounds too cheap 😀😀
Usually on a day rate so I'll do what I can to keep them pleased :ROFLMAO:
However, it's all the 'can you just' whilst on site that cause delays. Bit like snags really :p
Had a great example last Thursday and last day on site. See photo above showing my digger on the trailer nearly ready to go home.
In the background is the Muckaway lorry delivering more crushed. I darted out the gate before he tipped and had to dig my way out:eek:
Then they realised that he had only gone and tipped the crushed on the pea shingle required for the drains
Thought that I might have been asked to dig it out as a 'can you just job'.
My sensible plan B of having a couple of baggies delivered was adopted ;)

Green with envy here @Routy56 ..... been melting all day !!:oops:
was 34C in me box this morning and just gotten hotter all day .... just starting to cool down now
started early-ish to avoid the heat first thing, 'til the strimmer decided to stop playing ... and had to spend two hours at me bench in the blazing sun sorting it ... and of course a good clean and service as it was in bits  ...... and that was the end of it for me .... too bloody hot for Druids :(

love the poly tunnel over the pool . great idea that .... bet it was like a sauna in there today

sorry forgot to answer this one  ...
that's all the sweepings off that area with the countax's collector ......

WP_20190504_16_56_33_Pro.jpg

massacre it with the Dane let it dry a day or so then sweep it/collect it ... looks great .....
I dump it there as it goes down on the lower bank under the hedge line ..... daren't back it right into the right spot .... I'd never get it back out ..... it's hairy enough keeping all the Countax's wheels in contact with the floor as it is
