Before I get a riddle bucket for my Kubota mini digger, I thought I should seek recommendations.
the Rhinox has removable/replaceable pins, which they say reduce wear on the other pins. Also in contention are the Hardlife and JB.

U17 pins are 30mm.

there’s not much between them on price.

Any views?

thanks in advance

Out of those 3. JB by a mile. I've used one quite a lot and it was well built to be fair. BMC would be first port of call for buckets though.

is it an old wife’s tales that riddle buckets are bad for your excavator , I was thinking of picking one up as well but read somewhere that they can take a toll on the machine

I use mine loads. Riddling out walling stone etc can't say I've noticed an acceleration in wear since I got it 4 years ago. Like all these things you don't have to be completely animalistic. I find gentle slower shakes as effective as just shaking the f**k out of it tbh.

I have a digits one for a u17 with different grills for the back - its a heavy little bugger though and haven't had call to use it much, then cut the back out of a knackered 900 digging bucket and lashed some rebar across the back for the 8t.

Depends on your work but it might be worth a look at a multi purpose rake / riddle bucket for it?

I've got a digbits multipurpose rake for my old 1.5/current micro, brilliant thing. Can sort piles, dig a bit, strip turf, prep soil, lots of uses. Found it really good for loading hard-core in a crusher as it got a decent bite into the pile of big lumps without filling up with small bits

Check out the sales video for the rhinox bucket. They say that the shaking of the bucket wears the pins.

I wouldn't take too much notice of Rhinox tbh. They produce some absolute junk (not all). I can't see how having loose pins makes any difference to wear on the carrier machine- I mean how loose are they talking!🤣 The shock still has to travel through to the dipper. I find more of a rolling technique better. Think like your flipping a pancake in the bucket rather than shaking a salt pot.

Looking for one of these on 30mm pins that will fit E10 and KX613. 75mm centres probably? Wondering which size to aim for. Always feel that rakes can be bigger than normal as you never get much in them.
