Agreed that it is a done deal but still worth attempting to point out to the rule makers that they had picked a daft change over date even without the current problems 🤪
agreed, but since when did the populous have a voice :cry:

Both my on site machines are full with red at the moment. Then they are both out on site next week 😊
So can anyone give me a quick heads up on what to do going forward please. Have I got to drain out the red on April Fools day 😜
Or simply refill them with white and get on with my life 😎

If you still have red by the first of April I think your supposed to make a child sacrifice to appease the gods of HMRC, god taxus and God fineus. Otherwise you will be struck down by a plague of angry jobsworths

Thanks James - that’s what I thought. But there so much bullsh*t going about, didn’t want to get it wrong :p

Got my handy drums ready and will probably fill one of them at a time when I refill the pickup truck

Well I’m no expert, but from what I understand you can use whatever red is left in the machine and then fill with white from then on. If checked they will accept residual traces of red in the tank. But if they think the level of red is high then they will check it again at a later date to see the level of red dropping.

I also think if you are on genuine work that allows red then you can use it, changing back to white after. But I’m assuming you’d need some proof that the use of red was genuine and then again they would want to see the traces of red dropping if checked? Although this is just my take on it, I’ve not seen anything myself that gives clear guidance to those who genuinely run a machine across both compliant and non compliant sectors.

FB buzzing here last night with a couple of 'suspect' vans getting caught on people's properties ... reg. comes up as MOT failures, untaxed & uninsured on SORN ... so WTF is the ANPR system .. they have got to have gotten here from somewhere?
As I have said before, they're gonna need to be brave or plain stupid to venture down here ... would not be leaving in the condition they arrived ;):giggle: ... and'd be on foot, at speed

You say that but what do you do with a couple of tea leaves who have nothing to lose. Mate of mine had some in his yard last year or could have been year before at silly o clock in morning. Cameras alerted him and he got up there. He'd rang coppers on the way up there and they stopped and confiscated the van with scrap and some slates in the back. 2 days after they pinched the van back out the recovery yard where it was being held and torched it so no evidence. I think they got off with a £50 fine.

Expanding foam gun accidently lit with a faglighter doesn't half encourage forward movement.
