I would have put grass cutting at £10-15 a garden. It's easy work and suitable for young or retired. Wouldn't take much to earn a decent amount whether it was earnings or beer money.
Personally would never pay more than that for it and it's insane that people seem to be willing to pay those amounts

I wouldn’t even drive to your house with the mower for a tenner. Your a tradesman, be realistic!

Well I wouldnt class myself as lazy but I have a gardener coming in to look after my hedges etc..... be buggered if Im spending my weekends doing it after grafting all week

I'm lazy and tight. So I do neither and it doesn't cost me either....what's not to like.

You can't see my mucky windows or long grass for the over grown hedge...which I call security as it means no one can see what you've got.

Furniss is onto the right thing here. You earn more per hour digging than it costs you to get a guy to cut the grass. So it’s actually better to pay someone to do it and earn another hour on the machine. Or have more free time. All worth something. It’s not lazy it’s clever use of time.

Just spoke to a good friend that is fully booked with a little ride-on-mower cutting grass. He is out at £55/hour and turning work down. Makes you think......

Yeah but you need some size lawn for a hours work, got to be lots of loading & unloading and travel between jobs.. doubt anyone is paying travel time either.

ditto .... but it'd cost me a few bob otherwise .... lorragrass to keep on top of ...... but if someone wants to come and do it for 15 quid? .... they're on .... I'll even make 'em as much tea/coffee as they can drink

Probably have a large elderly client base in each village they go to so do 10 gardens at 15 each so 150 In the pocket most elderly person's gardens are small and park at one and wheel mower to next one

I aim for £50 per hour with our little ride on. Usually do a day every couple of weeks with one guy on mower and one on strimmer. Most jobs an hour, £70-100 plus vat.

You can actually , pull the lift solenoid out and you can spin the blades while the cylinder is vertical.. *disclaimer - not all household activities involve alcohol consumption.. but it helps!

Great money for it, I only have around 60-70m2 of grass no trees or bushes hence why would never pay anywhere close
