Why is it on this forum you have loads of useless advice but no help at all in the question you have asked? It seems no one knows the answer but thinking they know better will give you useless advice.
Simple question asked, silly response off so well known members.
If you can’t help don’t reply to the thread .

Now mr Blade, I struggled in vain to find your introductory post. Would you walk into our workshops, yards, dealerships etc., fire out questions without introducing yourself, and expect people To drop everything and jump to it, and expect a favourable response? You may be frustrated with your situation, but unfortunately no one on here owes you or me the time of day, so I just wonder if a reset might be in order?

To be honest it's why I don't really do the helpful thing anymore.

I've given my number out in the past and offered to pop up and look in passing.... To be told it's fine, uncle Giles has popped by and fixed it.

Two weeks later a call about the same problem that has been exacerbated by a bodge.

People are thick, and ungrateful. f**k them.

Two weeks later a call about the same problem that has been exacerbated by a bodge.

Try dealing with 1000s of the general public. Some are lovely, most are tolerable, and a very small percentage are twats . Guess which ones you remember!

That's why we pick and choose our customers. I don't have many twats these days.

One of the upsides of being in my fifth decade on this earth and having spent a hell of a lot of it working long hard physical hours is that I now afford myself the luxury of a zero tolerance policy on time wasters,twats and anyone I consider remotely unpleasant.
It’s a really refreshing mindset ,life is far too short !

What have I’ve done haha, I’ve only got 3 nephews and none will ever need anything mechanical fixing they’re not into diggers! Something wrong with them
