Afternoon all,

Just wondering whether anyone has ever bought a waterproof cover for their digger.
Just had my canopy on my Kubota U17 repainted under warrant, and I am thinking of getting a cover for it, as it lives outside.

Does anyone have any advice?

cheers

steve

The exposed boom will fade and then look daft compared to the cabin. I wouldn’t bother.
Ive been having similar thoughts to @Steve Blackdog with my wacker which lives outside now. Was thinking just getting a really decent heavy duty tarp to cover the whole machine 2ft short of the ground and use bungees to tie it down. Wouldn't bother for everyday use but if I knew it was going to sit idle for a while might keep the worse of the weather off

You don't want the sheet touching the vehicle. It will trap moisture and a raid paint work. And you will be in the same position.
If it is to go in same place what about a temporary garage from machine mart. Or even one that spans 2 containers.

Hmm that's an interesting point. Did think the the wind rattling the tarp may cause more damage than trying to save. My yard isn't mine and flying slightly off the official radar so not sure landlord too keen on containers sadly. Think they need planning now too?

What about a cheap, large gazebo? Currently got one over the car as a temporary summer cover, trying to stay in the shade when working on it, probably going to take it down at some point but for covered storage it isn't bad. Clarke do a car car "garage" version as well which a mates neighbour keeps his American car in all year round

Not a bad idea. I could flog the digger and buy an American car. Always fancied a Camero🤣🤣

The one that I’ve seen over and over is the pipe going into the tank has a dip in it or comes right out of the tank because the hole dug to install it isn’t backfilled with correct material or compacted when it’s backfilled so the ground sinks underneath it .
