As you can see, I am a upmost professional 😂

Gear going in well.... Layer 3 today, not quick by any stretch but it's getting done with a small team. 🥰

This is a job I’m on at the moment & have never seen a acre of crates for a Irrigation lagoon before

so you can’t see it driving up the drive to the £55m house that’s just been built
yes but why in an open lagoon ..... these things're designed to be buried out of sight anyway .... don't see the point in putting them at the bottom of a gert pond

My guess is they will be sprinkling some topsoil and grass seed over it all when finished!!

I think it is what Rory would call a lagoon with a lid on it!! Hopefully he will be along shortly to put us out of our mystery!!

If it’s for irrigation it needs to hold water, not act as a soak-away. That’s my guess as to why it’s built in a lagoon.

so why fill it with crates :giggle: ... get more water in without all the placcy crap taking up space

To keep the soil out of it I suppose, might struggle to hide the lagoon with the top covering otherwise (would be a touch swampy I reckon).
Landscape architect needs a slap - why not have a nice lake?

My guess is he didn’t want to explain to the posh mates why the water level changes. Also they don’t want Rory back with the long reach every year to clean the lake.

Knowing the wankers that design these things, it won't have a incoming sediment trap and in 20 years time the crates will be silted up.

Edit - (due to a high profile user being ashamed to be associated with this forum and a earlier incident involving a melon and facebook I will state that I do not mean the designers of the current scheme i'm on.....)

Cos nature wouldn't take long to take over a nice lake.
If you can afford a place with that setup I’m fairly sure you’ll have a team of gardeners keeping it looking ‘just-so’!

Todays little number, 130B long reach sorting out a unstable bank.

Tight getting in, and a very restricted space. Not enough stand off distance or reach tbh but the biggest machine that can be brought in and 13 or 20t, the space to stand off wouldn't change.

Nibbled away and get myself something to sit on. Material was nice and flaky which helped the safety factor. If it had been larger lumps would of had to have a major rethink and work from the top down

He keeps some lovely gear does Roy. It's a case of nibble nibble. In reality the standoff is way too close but the material is right to achieve it safely and as always we have to weigh up the risk to a operator too close in a Cab, VS the risk to abseilers.
