Can someone come up with a quick connect that has a tang at 90 degrees to grab hold of to make it 100000% easier to engage/disengage the little sods.

Abysmal design.

Tbf I think they are fine if you can get the pressure out
The switches on the new jcb loadalls to depressurize the aux circuits are brilliant

My Unimog has got cast alloy QR`s on the front with a little handle/tang cast into the other collar.

The switches on the new jcb loadalls to depressurize the aux circuits are brilliant

Manitou`s have that as well.

you can buy a set of tongs from Holp for making / breaking QR connections Fred... not cheap though

can well believe it if used daily ...
I fancied a set, to make life easier at high level on me dipper ... mine can be a bitch to do .. but never gotten round to it .... might have to now ... for the fore-see-able ATM, anyway ... certainly couldn't wrestle the lil' sods in me current state .
Think @Grahams has a set and IIRC has praised them in the past

I've been very pleased with them. Used them so much they are getting a bit of wear and slipping occationally. My own machines are fine and I can dump the pressure, but a lot of hire machines we find it difficult to dump the pressure, I guess because we are not familiar with them.

Had a pile cropper on hire in Jan and it was a bitch to de-pressure to get the connections on! Two adjustable spanner’s and a dribble of hydraulic oil was the best I could come up with!

My first tilty started to be a bit hit and miss sometimes, so just put a “T” piece in, would just crack it if needed, and it did the trick, 20 seconds tops, and it was sorted

Originally was going to stick a little tap there, but when it was on it just looked to bulky, so just put that it, just have a bit of rag handy to wipe up any excess oil.

yeh ... tap'd be a bit of a liability and'd make a hell of a mess if it got caught inadvertently .... or worse ... knocked off
