better send Monmouthshire CC a link to this product then ... what they put in doesn't last a week and is like driving on a Gaydon wash board test track for suspension travel

We had a sunken culvert nr us. An absolute bastard to travel over at any speed especially with a loaded trailer. Council came and "dealt" with it. Didn't deal with the root of the problem just relaid more tarmac and now it's even worse🤣

I doubt it's the product tbh. It will most likely be the prep work. It still needs to be cut square at least 40mm deep and have the joints painted. The emergency gangs don't have the time knowledge or training to do it properly.

I dream of that level of finish ... 1 man, 1 shovel, ..... shovel it in and whack it down with the back of the shovel -- return 5 days later to repeat
cut it out !! .. they don't even brush it out

Random question...

I've used a bit of the Tarmac yellow bagged coldlay

Recently patched up a gatepost and it was absolutely shite with a couple of bags I'd had sat in the garage for a month..Like took days to set etc and still feels soft all round crap.

In the past I did a trench full roadway width and it was perfect the following day . Only difference there was I used wacker and black jack primer and it was straight from supplier.

Does it go off or what ? Dead short shelf life?
i've used this stuff it's very good: https://redstagmaterials.com/road-maintenance-materials/ez-street-asphalt/
the compaction causes the chemical reaction

and we wonder why the roads are so dire .....

" The annual report also reveals that National Highways’ 6,800 staff each took an average of 11.7 days off sick last year – totalling more than 79,500 days, which, with roughly 260 working days in a year, equates to more than 300 years of working hours lost to sick leave in the agency last year alone. I think that’s more days off sick than I’ve had in last 10 years, and that includes 2 bouts of Covid

1: 00am. I had that weird feeling when you can hear something, but not sure if you're dreaming or not... Suddenly realised I wasn't. It was a stihl saw going full chat outside. Dived out of bed thinking it was someone trying to break into the truck.
No, it was a flatbed transit towing a tower light unit doing pot hole repairs..
0 tm didn't even have amber beacon 😂.
Just had a walk out to see what they were doing and this was it..
I mean I'm the first one to moan about over-the-top TM, but surely a couple of cones would be normal here 🤔

For context is a single track road. That bit they've dug up is exactly where cars pull in to let oncoming traffic through. I'm waiting to see how many tyres we get through today 😂
