Please help

Hi all was wondering if you could please help me I have a TB153 fr good Machine had a A few little problems.
My newest one is the eco-button or deceleration button does not seem to slow down the revs when on full revs. If I drop the revs slightly the button works slightly more and the more I drop the revs the better the button works until I get to basically idle speed and then obviously it does not drop the revs anymore as it’s already on idle.
So basically I am asking how to set this button so that it drops full revs to idle. Is there some type of program sequence or is there something I need to change with the cable that controls the revs any help would be much appreciated

No idea, on any machine I’ve had with eco modes they normally just set the revs lower in the first place.. I guess your machine has a specific button which just says eco? What does the manual say that it does?

Does it have an option to switch from manual to auto decel ? My case can either decel in auto mode or I press the option button and then it does it when I press button on lever

'Drema was the same ...... 'fore the auto idle went south ... had four choices of throttle setting - could either let it do its thing or lock it at whatever setting you chose .... now has a hand throttle

There's a couple of different throttle setups usual problem is deaccelerator motor (basically a car electric window motor).

my system was a seriously fancy/techy hydraulic actuator with 5 position sensing ... hence when it went south it stayed south ... was beyond my fathoming :(

Takis use two throttle cables and a linkage, relies on both cables pulled to work throttle. Deaccelerator motor pulls one and depending on age of machine either throttle lever or electric controller the other. Newer ones I'm not sure as I've not had to do anything with problems wise but they're now auto idle and little turny knob for throttle so possibly through ecu as well now 🙉

sounds a right can of worms :(

Hopefully i won't find out. The good thing with the ones with hand throttle is if motor packs in or goes dicky you can either disconnect motor when its got cable pulled or put a loop of wire onto linkage and just use hand throttle instead.

If its the older type with preset throttle positions on buttons and no hand throttle it could all be worked off one motor, older 175 i had was this system but never gave any bother so i don't know ins and outs of it. @JD450A are either of your 175s older type?

yeh ... PITA ..... had to install a hand throttle into mine ..... took a bit of juggling ..... old system is still in place, just disconnected at the pump ... when I'm feeling adventurous/enthused, I might swap it all back and see if it's sorted its little head out :giggle: .... was very good, 'til it had a hissy fit

Hi guys sorry for the late update

It only has one cable.

The adjustment might’ve changed when the lever snapped clean off lol 😂 And I re-welded it but the decelerating problem was happening before that’s why I was using the door to leave it on thethat I reword that and

I had this decelerating problem before that.

It’s got a throttle lever if that helps.

The Deceleration works on a button on the right joystick

The button doesn’t say eco but it’s basically is. It is a decelerator slows the Engine revs down.

I like the idea of a window motor, working on an actuator. That’s something I can get my head around any ideas where it will be as the throttle cable runs straight into the fuel pump.

If you follow the cable away from the engine there will be a linkage somewhere where the cable becomes 2. One cable will go to the throttle lever and the the other to the decelerator motor. I can't remember the exact setup but without both cables pulled the linkage doesn't pull the cable to the pump. It's possible to unplug the motor when the cable from it is tight and just use the lever from then on.

It’s what I do!
Open the bonnet, it’s off to the left next to the pilot filter, they are favourite for burning out, but more simply the cables break at the motor end inside the blue plastic cover.

will have a better look thanks

I could just use the lever but for Ease-of-use it would be nice to have the button working,

Yes if you tie off the decel lever in the engine compartment, you can just use the throttle lever.
