10mm ally plate like we used to put under mini sumps gotta help things?

New rad arrived this morning and I put it on the truck this afternoon -the repaired one lasted well for the week odd jobbing about, in fact put it on the shelf in worse case scenario that I bash the new one beyond repair one day , although I did run it with the cap off to try keep pressure down.
Re protection.....there is the possibility of fabbing something up that goes on the spring hangers if I ever get round to it.
