never used a nickel plated one Boyo ...... can't imagine the plating'll last long anyway

I'll get some and see if I can pick the difference.

I've just seen one seller offering Zirconium in place of Hafnium as a budget option
the savings seems insignificant - won't be bothering with those, but something to watch for.

IIRC they originally had iridium electrode cores ... the hafnium is a better conductor and lasts longer
