Is a new Ifor tipper really 7k?.....

Can't imagine it'll be far off, especially after the coming price rise.

Inflation seems to be heading our way fast. Can't go pumping all that money into the economy without expecting it can you!

Last time I bought a trailer, I priced a nugent trailer, coincidently it was with barnes and Bolton, like the earlier comments, they sounded like people you would be happy to spend your money with.
The nugent trailers where slightly more expensive that the ifor, I went with ifor because they had what I wanted (a wide body GH), it was local, and the px was good, lost £400 on a trailer we`ve had for over 25 years.
Nugent will be on the short list, next trailer I buy, I liked the way they had been made, and a few nice features.

For anyone who does want Igor the newer GH series are far better quality and nicer to use than the old gx series
I don't know the price or weight difference but they are a far better trailer

that's amazed me that there 7k - can buy artic tippers for less or an 8 wheeler wagon or a 7.5 tonner

Yes but only if youve right licence.

And for most of my work trailers are a pain to get anywhere near most of my jobs.

Was in the dealer last week im 99% sure he said it would be £3.5k + vat for a ifor williams tipper think its was the 2.8t version so will carry just under 2t.

Lead times are a long time at the moment

That tipper that @doobin linked was just under 7k inc VAT, with what looked like every extra going, granted is still £5624 ish plus vat, at a guess 4-4.5k for a basic tipper?

Both have their place. If I had a lorry I wouldn’t have the trailer though.

Used tipper trailers are insane price wise, not far off new for what could be a 10 year old trailer, by the time you sort tyres, brakes and any issues with bed, lights etc your not far off of new prices.

Got a local trailer builder near by, but can't buy direct so it's a five hour plus round trip to a dealer

I’ve got two 12 foot Ifor tippers, one is 12 months old and the other is around 10 years old. The old one has been rolled twice and is all sorts of shapes, but has been well serviced throughout its life and tows perfectly. I’ve agreed to sell it for £2k and the buyer (who knows the full history of the trailer) seems made up at that price!

I think Ifor TT126 is a brilliant bit of kit I bought one new about 2005 and it used to be out nearly every day on the back of the landrover towing a digger and then carting aggregates about, It still got used a lot when I had the 3.5tipper truck bacause the 3.5T tipper could legally carry bugger all when all loaded up, nowadays it rarely gets used unless we want to take a 3t dumper and 3t digger in one hit otherwise everything goes on back of wagon and its great not to have the hassle of a trailer TBF, but its not getting sold, too exp to replace if needed

I got £2400 for my 2007 8x5 Ifor tipper this year. I was happy with that. Do you not find it sketchy carrying diggers on tippers?
I really can't see the point in 3.5 ton tippers unless most of your work is in towns or city's. Their noisy feckers, my old ldv was like rolling down a hill in a steel drum!
