Plant trailer choices.

The side wiring is normally held in place by rubber bungs that are wedged in under the lip where the cable runs. Perhaps the bungs hadn't been pushed home properly,
Tbf the tail gate latche can need a slight giggle to line up properly. The tail gate has a small amount of side to side movement on the rail it's mounted on so perhaps just needs shunting accross a bit.
Who did you buy it from?

My usual dealer, lovely folks. I think in the last minute rush to swap over to a different trailer I got one that hadnt been prepped like normal. The runner bungs were all poked in vertically with most hanging out and the cables dropping. Once I pushed them up out of sight horizontally and pulled the cables tight it looks as it should. I think the side walls pulled out during construction, possibly hot galv dipping? 15 minutes careful use with a ratchet strap and a bit of grease and it’s much better now.
It’s a nice solid unit and my first ever proper plant trailer so I am chuffed! It’s nice having the solid mud guards and step at front for getting in and out (much better than the GD84 for loading) I’m so used to having small trailers for the last few years it’s a bit of an effort to keep my eyes on the mirrors more. Plenty of room for extra kit. Think I could get a dumpy on there as well as a machine. Had to tidy the container up as it’s a bit longer than I expected, longer draw bar and the load bar on tailgate make it something like 16 or 17ft long.

Get underneath and make sure the spring bolts have been tightned up, not just threaded up to the nylocks! Happened to me. Stevie Wonder must have done the PDI- and they sent the village idiot to fix it, spewing bollocks.
