But the emissions standards last longer than 3 years, the kit lasts longer than 3 years
And they could try working more efficiently with less kit.
All it does is polish the ego's of the stick pullers on the jobs

When they where doing the M23 and m25 upgrades already 30% of the excavators where sat doing nothing with operators watching Netflix in the cab

It's just another form of waste that big sites are so good at
Last year and this year is the major shake up for emissions due to euro 6 and even stricter lez in london so the latest dash or what ever brand has been launched or now only come up for updating the specs after the flagship models are done first

I worked in plant in London in the 80s for an Irish outfit Marron. There were a few around London then . 2 off them have just turned up in the highlands ! Carey’s and Pat Flannery .

Sold them a digger last year (Marron)

What we need is a good EMP based Apocalypse.... :ROFLMAO:
aside from the cause of a major EMP, the consequences of it are almost unimaginable in today's world :oops:

Wouldn’t be a bad thing, I’d happily live in a black out, I guess we’d have to set up a pen pal kinda thing prior 🙄

After having a quick look round the dealers tonight Im glad I got a couple of used machines sorted before things got to where they are now.
Paid 12.5k for a tidy 2018 Kub U17-3 / 600hrs 3 buckets and qh (made of fromage) seems like a steal right now.......wonder whether ordinary plant has ever been an appreciating asset before
