4" Foul Pipeline, run in at a 1:60 fall, 60M long, 1m depth at start, 2m depth at end through semifirm clay with springs.

What would you be thinking is right price wise to supply machine and labour only. Curious to know how cheap I am tbh.

Chambers every 30m as per regs. Plastic 4"... But literally labour and machinery only, with all materials supplied.

Ok, assuming access is good. 2 days labour should get that in. 3t Digger and Dumper. I would charge £900+vat labour and plant only.

I’ve just done literally the same run, but was in running sand, couldn’t bench the dig, it all had to be at 45degree sides and very quick getting gravel in before the sand washed back in, took three days to dig backfill and make good! That was with 5t tilty and 3t dumper+labour.. so £1500+vat plus any transport. If I had quoted I’d of lost on it as it should of been done in two days, just didn’t anticipate a 9ft wide trench!!

I turn down any jobs where it's 'I'll supply the materials mate'. I quote for a whole job, or you have me on day rate.

Too many times the materials will be wank or missing bits.

Sounds like we are on the money then, has worked out at two full days to dig and backfill with the 7 tonner and 2t dumper with labourer. £1000 inc transport. About £16/17 a meter

Never do... Hourly/Dayrate Hires. Fk the quotations it's a invitation to be f***ed around by all involved sadly. Plus it takes time to compile a quote which could be spent doing something enjoyable.

We have started a new regime with a couple things the past month. The Mini's up to 3t only go out for either a half or full day... £150 for half, £250 for a full... Plus transport if I choose.

Likewise hired in plant is now out at it's full hire and transport cost + £25 per hour for operator and fuel....

7 tonners are also going up to £40/hr in the new year..... Fk it. I'm seriously looking forward to January and the start of a nice tasty project 210-5 is going there

You should be glad that your not up here anything over 1m deep has to have concrete manhole if it's a main sewer has to have a 150mm concrete surround too

Done 3m deep in plastic as to new addition in the regs due to private sewers having to be adopted so regs changed to follow suit just has to have restrictor fitted
