Hi guys.
I have a jcb 801.4 with perkins 103-10 engine.
Recently I've replaced the piston rings and the injectors heads.
Now the engine is giving blue smoke, no oil consumption..
I think the injection timing need to be adjusted.
How can I check the timing?
The injection pump has already 2 shimings.
I know that one shim is giving one degree.
Shall I remove all of them to see it how is working?
Is someone can give me advice, we can chat on WhatsApp.
TIA

It’s what I do!
Did it smoke before rings, and have the shims always been there?

I’m thinking the gears need checking. Is the pump gear a tooth out?

It wasn't smoking like that before.
The 2 shims was always there. Never touched the timing gears.
I'm thinking, if the injector head is new, removing the shims will adjust the timing to 0 degree

Nozzles👍 take the injectors out put them on the ends of a pipe, turn the engine over see if you get a good atomisation(spray)
