I teed off the main feed to the block. Assuming it was live all the time. The return from the steering goes straight to the tank.

Aha. There is no priority port on this block. I have found one and assume it goes inline before the block. I will order it fit it and report back.

how are you connecting the steering orbital ... it has a P and a T which will flow straight back to tank without a demand for pressure, so if you've tee-ed them in all your flow will simply dump to tank, even if your tip/lift block is demanding pressure it won't get any as the oil will take the easiest route back to tank

the main block is the same ....P to T until the P flow is diverted into a service requiring the oil and the pressure builds in the sealed cylinder(s) until the demand ceases and the P flow returns back to its preferred route of least rsistance with the control valves in the 'neutral' position

Yes. This is whats happening. I have teed into the p port so preassure goes into steering but that seems to be easiest route so it wont lift anything. Not really sure what i am doing..... all i know how to do is swap stuff out tbh.
