Hi,
Just recently bought a 1999 EB 30.4 Digger.

Keen to know what all the lights on the Puma Control panel actually mean. Especially the three lights at the bottom of panel:-

Is there anywhere ot get a manual for one of these panels?

Thankyou.

Top - alternator/not charging; engine oil pressure,; coolant temp.; air filter blockage light; glow plugs in operation
bottom; hydraulic oil temp.; I think your middle one is hydraulic filter blockage (filter bi-passing); and overload warning.

Thankyou gents.

The dude in County Down Northern Ireland I already contacted a month or so back and he doesn't have one 😪😪

I have contacted SMT in England. They have a manual that they will print and send to me for around £40.

Thanks,

IKenny.
I might go for that.

Going by the warning lamp lit up, probably pay you to do a hyd. oil and filter change from the off, so you know where you are.

Thanks all. Some very usful comments. I am new to these Forum things, but I can immediately see the benefits.

The image I attached to my post is not off my PUMA panel, just an image I found on the internet BUT we have changed all filters but the Hydraulic one and I now intend to do this also.

Does anyone know what Hydraulic filter this 1999 EB30.4 (Serial number 18474) takes?

Also, we got the attached in the filter kit we were givign when we purchased the machine but I am struggling to see where it goes, anyone any ideas/pictures?

Looks like (according to the SL-Series Mitsubishi Engines_Pel Job I managed to get my hands on) that there maybe TWO types of Fuel Filter used on the Mistsubishi engine fitted.

So we possibly do not need this filter. We have changed the element in the first filter type listed in the attached PDF.

Does anyone want a copy of the "SL-Series Mitsubishi Engines_Pel Job" document that I have? Let me know and I will add to the post.

Thanks.

there's a guy called Muz Mac who runs a forum called Plant and Construction, who is an expert on the PUMA control systems and there's a lot of various threads and discussions about their issues and shortcomings on there.
He is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Quite a few members here are also member there too, but it doesn't get anything like the 'traffic' here

I suggest that you take the hyd. Filter element out and see if there’s a serial number on it. Most filter suppliers will be able to cross-match. Also, Pel Job we’re absorbed by Volvo CE so it might be worth contacting Volvo. They should be able to match machine to filter.

We have a hydraulic filter ordered. It has not arrived yet. We have used it on a small job around the farm and all seems fine with the machine..... 👍

I had a three tonne Pel Job on hire once, thought it was a good machine. I was clearing roots and stumps out of a churchyard to extend the burial area.
