Pallet racking

Good morning
I have been searching for reasonably priced pallet racking and buggered if I can find owt.
Can any of chaps point me the right direction?....oh and on the lookout for a 80ton plus hydraulic press.

Scaffolding makes some cheap, easily constructed, just how you like it racking. Worth 90% second hand of what it is new too. Can’t loose. I get mine from the local Actavo- about a pound a foot.

I bought cheap stuff from rapid racking about a year ago. You get what you pay for. Its cheap. But still, it's in me shed and it's full of stuff that would otherwise be taking up space on the floor of the shed. I'm thinking of getting more of the same for more stuff.

Thanks for the replies chaps, I bit the bullet and paid 340 for 5x 1100mm uprights and 18x 2700mm beams. Pissed off looking at my hammer graveyard...lol

Good to hear progress being made IMHO if you plan to use pallets on the bare racking there is a risk of nudging the pallet with the forklift and it can fall off. I would recommend anyone to use some kind of shelving fixed to the racking and then no chances of losing a pallet.

If you always have the same pallets in use i just used to nail an old slat to the bottom front and back as it made it alot easier to adjust bays if its just a span and no shelf

damned near Mark just need a bit more of the black stuff and a load of clean 40mm for the drainage channels.
Time to start sussing a few prices for steelwork .. got plenty round here do steel frames .... need to get it drawn/sketched up, with my various 'extra' requirements and see who's gonna be the biggest/smallest 'Turpin' ........ then decide if it gets farmed out ... or I get it all cut from a stock holders
got one I used to use a lot for cut to size/shape who used to be very good on their cutting charges

think I can still remember how to knock one together

seemed odd that a 14m long one was 6.5k yet a 21m one was only another 700 quid?????

Would be an interesting read if you were to build your own that’s for sure. You seen some good deals getting posted on the internet of cancelled orders for sheds, but I’m guessing the size of area your working with it needs to be purpose built. Have you thought of these? https://www.zappshelter.com Could use your containers as the walls.

yeh have seen those Mark .... pretty neat, but not exactly long term .... those guys at shelterit do them too
