As you and the honourable member for Midhurst have already alluded to, mini loaders are great but people can’t see beyond more common machines. Subbing with mine has been a flop so far.

The best money spinners in many respects are doing simple things for the crass/lazy/stupid. Misfuel rescues, hot tub lifts etc. I draw the line at wheelie bin washing but you get the idea. Something I just thought of was puncture rescues for the increasing number of cars that don’t carry spares. Have a little car trailer with twenty common hole pattern wheels, a jack, a rattle gun and a roll of package wrap. Turn up to someone stranded, change a wheel, wrap their one up and put it in their back seat and charge them £100 for a £10 wheel. For extra points, buy the wheel back off them when they list it on marketplace a fortnight later. Does require turning out whenever and dealing with whoever though.

Back on machine machines, stump grinder or mower?
's not a 10 quid wheel though ... more likely well over 100 quid too ... interesting idea though, but'd need to be able to take payment anywhere - no one carries cash any more (well almost no-one) and most of these 'wheel less' cars come with roadside anyway  (still looking for a spare for the KIA)

AA carry those multi slot spares ...I think 3 wheels does like majority of stud patterns he said . Electric car charging could be an interesting one. Deffo seen a pic of a flatbed in USA with big diesel Genny that offers a full charge for lazy folk ...slightly ironic but wtf

I would like to insist the honourable member is infact far less honourable than you give credit for and has been using his expenses to procure a duck house among other things.

I think a lot of pleasure could be procured from going round charging electric cars with a big diesel genny 😁

Did think of multi slotted ones but then you have to f**k on getting it back. Easier to sell the crap spare to them and forget it. Plus if you're selling a tyre with s**t tread to someone and they get pulled over, it's their s**t tyre, not yours. You emphatically can buy wheels for a tenner on marketplace all day long.

Especially if you weren't too conscientious changing the air filter so it smoked a bit.

The six million dollar question though is based on it being legitimate to run a genny on red for domestic power generation. Could you run said nice smokey genny on red ?

If the genny was at a house and was powering the tv in an evening whilst the car was on the drive being charged from the domestic electricity supply for the house I think it would be ok but what about if it was in a layby at the side of the road?

commercial usage I'd guess - white only ... only domestic can run red :(

Thinking about it it may be possible on red depending how the contract is worded.

If you provided a charging service then yes, it would need to be white. If it was generator hire would the hirer be responsible for determining the correct fuel for their use of the generator?

I can’t remember the wording on what you can use red for. I think it’s residential power generation and not domestic which was the word I had in my head. I think the profit margin in the new business enterprise should be set high enough that the cost of the fuel is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

Think of it as being ‘Stupid tax for firstly buying a leccy chariot and secondly not making sure it’s charged when you use it.

The trouble with all these ideas is no matter how good they are is getting the contracts to provide the service. If a leccy vehicle runs out of juice they will call AA or RAC who will sort it. How would they know or want to call you? Same with recovery trucks etc.
If you are to invest your money in a niche business you need to be sure of your customer base and have some way of you being the prefered supplier.
In my opionion, adding extra services to existing customers seems a much easier way to go.
