This is the part relevant to ppe and the box regarding relaxations of ppe.
Obviously there has to be a concrete reason for doing so such as you have stopped the task or ppe is causing problems. And it works both ways that additional ppe should be added during a shift if required.
For the hardhats last year it didn't get hot enough that I can remember but the year before everyone got a message in the morning saying hard hats been relaxed on relevant tasks due to the extreme heat.
In aus they don't even have reflective strips on their hi Vis as they magnify the heat and cause burns

I’m impressed Kier consider relaxing mandatory PPE to be such a regular thing they include it in a preprinted risk assessment.

In reality it's used every day. Otherwise we all be wearing dustmasks once the cutting has stopped and wearing a safety harness once the cherry picker has left.
And some smart arse would enforce it as the r.a says so

NWmwaypolice: Tipper stopped on the M62 with not a strap or net in sight to secure the containers of fuel, etc

Driver states he's always done that & never had a problem

TOR issued & load secured as best he could with the lovely clean straps he had with him that had never been used

Worked with the council for years on the roads and they never ever strapped anything down, yet alone net it up! I have a custom net for my 12’ trailer, saves a lot of buggering around!

That wants pushing to court. Technically the dropsides are the only load security required on that load unless the stopping authority can prove the load was blowing out.

Their 7.5ts never have nets etc on...

Bar one kerb that was a little high that's ridiculous.
And another case of a book over riding experience. Things don't get up and fly away out a tipper. It's a miracle anyone wants to go to work
