very, very sad :cry: ...... looking at the way the superstructure on the mobile is positioned and the way the boom has folded sideways, would say it was working in the foreground of the pics, lifting the boom off the tower, but's gone over before the pins've been pulled on the tower boom and taken everything down .... wind or perhaps a structural failure in the mobile ..... 's a bloody mess for sure :(

" Liebherr goes for a swim

Want to see what poor management and lack of knowledge and experience does? we was sent this video from a reader working in Africa of this crew trying to unload what looks like a 70 ton Liebherr from a barge and as you can see it doest go completely to plan.
https://video.wixstatic.com/video/01112b_430fdfc349454f5f8bdf65bf3477df49/360p/mp4/file.mp4

From what we can see due to lack of information the barge wasn't moored correctly and as the crane was leaving the deck it has clearly pushed the barge backwards, possibly the crew was ready for it and didn't have the engines of the barge running. ":cry:

poole depot is just up the road from me about 25 mile at the most.
Russ sent it to me .... his mate had two of his trucks stuck on the site he was on his way to for hooooours, whilst they extracted it ... don't know whether they got unloaded eventually or not ?

have had a couple of ex-Marsh Plant machines over the years

if they fell , they only have a short journey to the church, if he's not careful that ladder will be his...stairway to heaven!" but they got away with it and Fred dibnah took the same chances or even more risk

how the hell did they get the ladders up there ?

Did a similar sort of repair many years ago in town with a couple of local builders ..... but they were in a certified man riding cradle, on the end of my 30t Demag :giggle: .. job did - no dramas (y) .... bloody sight safer than that ... got pix somewhere, but paper and'll take some finding.
must try and dig out all my old work pix from the attic  .... all sorts in there ;)
